Sendbox
What is Sendbox?
Every other source in The Cut is something you already own — a folder, a SoundCloud feed, an email inbox. A Sendbox is the first source other people fill. It's a public page at thecut.music/send/your-handle where a producer verifies their email address, drops a track and a short message, and it lands in your Inbox tab ready to review, with the producer's name, verified email and message attached. Your Sendbox feeds your Inbox.
The producer never installs anything and never creates an account. You give out one link instead of an email address that drowns in WeTransfer links and unlabelled WAVs; every sender is verified, every track arrives with structured details, and you audition and decide in the same swipe flow as everything else.
Setting one up
Go to Settings → Sources → Add Source and choose Sendbox.
Continue with Apple.
Sendbox is the only part of The Cut that needs an account, and Sign in with Apple is the only way to create one. You'll see this step once — adding another Sendbox later skips it. See "How do I delete my Sendbox account?" for what's stored and how to remove it.
Claim a handle and fill in your public profile.
The handle becomes your link (thecut.music/send/your-handle). Add a display name and, if you like, a short note on what you're looking for — "melodic techno, 124–128, no edits" saves everyone time.
Share the link.
See "How do I share my Sendbox link?"
More than one Sendbox
Each Sendbox is its own source in the app, with its own link, actions and filters, so you can run one for label A&R, one for a radio show and one for remix requests. Free accounts get one Sendbox, Pro gets three and Label gets ten; storage is shared across all of them.
What producers see
Your display name and note, what you accept (audio files up to a size that depends on your plan, or a SoundCloud link), how long tracks are kept, and a two-step form: verify email, then send the track. Once it's in, they see "Sent to <your name>. You'll hear back if it's a fit" and get a receipt email. Every page and every receipt says "Powered by The Cut".
