How does the referral program work?

Sendbox grows when DJs tell other DJs about it, so the referral program pays both of you in the thing a Sendbox actually runs on: storage. Your invite link is at thecut.music/my/referrals, and in the app under Settings. Share it with a DJ, a label or an A&R.

What you both get

The bonus is added on top of whatever your plan includes, and it stays with your account: upgrading to Pro does not take it away, and neither does the other person deleting their account later.

When a referral counts

A referral counts once the person you invited receives their first track from someone other than the two of you. Nothing is granted for signing up alone, and a track you send them yourself, or one they send to their own Sendbox, does not count. The first qualifying track pays both sides at once; the app and the web show it in your storage right away.

Someone who signs up through your link on the web is matched to you automatically. Someone who installs the app instead enters your invite code in Settings within 7 days of signing up. Either way, if their first track does not arrive within 90 days, the referral lapses and neither side is paid.

Where your link goes

Your invite link is also on your public Sendbox page, under the message a producer sees after sending you a track. Producers are often DJs themselves; if one of them gets a Sendbox through it, that counts as your referral too.
